The BIGGEST GIVE

December 15, 2008 by Deb · 142 Comments

***We have a winner ! Please Check The End OF THIS POST for more information!

We’ve come to the end (almost) of another Christmas Season. For me, its been full of excitement and hard work. I’ve been able to meet so many great folks through My Favorite Things. Some days I look at it and ask how I could have thought this would ever be a good idea. And others, I look at the catalog and say  “I could not have had Christmas” without doing this, this year.

It was about the giving.  I had the idea to promote small business owners, offer them free advertising and share the love throughout the Christmas Season. From what I have sean, its been a success! To all the Vendors, small business owners and Work At Home Moms who participated in the catalog, Thank YOU. Without You, this catalog , My Favorite Things, would not have been a reality.

And folks without those same vendors, small business owners, work at home moms and indie designers, we would not have the BIGGEST BLOG GIVE AWAY THIS YEAR!

I read your story and I’m so very sorry for your lose. I also lost my parents 3 months apart in 2002,and it is still hard this time of year. I would never want to forget any of the moments I had with my parents on Christmas but the one a remember most was more of a feeling .when I was about 7, I was sitting on my mom’s lap with a barbie I had just gotten, and I can remember the feel of warmth and coziness. And that’s a feeling I would never want to forget. angelacisco@rocketmail.com

No matter what Santa left for us, we children would always open the presents from each other first! There had been such anticipation, and secrecy involved. It was important to verify that the “perfect present” you got was enjoyed as much as you anticipated.
