j0433163-300x300 Well Slap Me Down and Call Me SleepyAccording to a new study, tossing and turning for one night can lead to brain shut down! Well, I think that I discovered that first! Flash back, 27 years. Beano first came into my life and despite all the joy of being a new mother, diapers, feedings, depression and well (the list goes on), my formerly healthy sleeping habits went to hell in a hat box. Fortunately, in those days I didn’t have a career that involved risky business like climbing or operating heavy equipment. There were days when I just muddled through.

Today, I’m not changing diapers, dealing with a sick infant or the like. But, I am sleep deprived. Night sweats, engineer hubby’s snoring and tossing and turning have replaced early motherhood sleep problems. There are nights when I literally stare at the ceiling and count spots. The next day and several days afterward, I’m not good for much. Driving can be a challenge as can the simple act of walking up and down stairs.

These guys are on to something here…but I discovered it first!
