Is it laziness or cheapness to be like me?

    What do I mean?

Well I followed the picture because ‘you asked me to’ and I have a huge soft spot in my heart for children going to bed hungry. When me and my wife were dating she would mention feeling “Nauseated, I think I am getting hungry.” That always blew my mind, I had never heard such a thing, we were married for probably 9 years before I ever experienced that same ‘nausea’. She told me it was pretty common when she was growing up, her mom and dad both worked, he blew his paycheck so…

Anyway on being cheap or lazy, I went to the site but they wouldn’t allow me to just hit a PayPal button and donate anonymously. While it is partlly laziness not wanting to drag out the credit card to put the info on their form, it is also another bitter reminder. I donated a large gift(large for me) to one of the big children’s networks once and they thought I should give like that all the time. Even after numerous letters from me saying they ‘burnt the bridge’ they still send(waste) requests to me.

I think if organizations would make it easier to give anonymously or to click a box that says, “One time, thanks a million, we promise we wont put you on are “milk list”.

I don’t need to go out of town to donate to a food cause, my local food bank is just down the street.

What are your thoughts, feel free to chastise me or not at my twitter address.

P.S. Maybe they never thought of using PayPal?

@azmike: maybe they didn’t think of paypal. But I think what’s most important is the work they do on a local level. Did you actually read the site? Find a distribution point in your town? I will never know. But its your choice clearly how you spend your money.
